Standard Investment are investing in AMP

As of 20th January 2011, Standard Investment will be taking an interest in Amsterdam Metallized Products (AMP).

This will set AMP on the path to further growth and development.

Standard Investment (www.standardinvestment.nl) is a hands-on investment company focussing on small and medium sized businesses in the Netherlands and Belgium. Due to the operational involvement, expertise and experience of the managers of Standard Investment, AMP will be given the opportunity to bring their chosen strategy to fruition. In recent years, significant foundations have been laid for the next phase of the business. With this reinforcement provided by the addition of Standard Investment as a shareholder the future is one step closer.

This involvement of Standard Investment will not effect the company's management. Mr. Pim Honig will remain Managing Director of AMP.

Using a unique transfer metallizing process, the most varied of base materials are provided with a high-quality printable layer of vacuum-deposited aluminium. Through a network of high-quality international printers/converters, AMP's products find their way to brand owners in FMCG, Wine & Spirits, Tobacco, Health care, Beauty products and Cosmetics where they are used in packaging and labeling. Applications using transfer metallized materials ensure improved recognition on the shelf, reinforcement of image and growth in market share.

Amsterdam Metallized Products covers the substrate (paper, board or film) with a brilliant metallic layer of “silver” or “gold”. The versatility of Valvac transfer metallized materials is nearly infinite due to the transfer process. From a 20 micron (80 gauge) film, to a 700 micron (28 pt) board, can be produced. The Valvac metallized product can be applied as label supplied for, folding carton, gift-wrap or as a glossy high impact cover for a magazine.
